Get to know Iran’s national city of pottery

Shahreza city in Isfahan Province of Iran is the national city of pottery in Iran as the city is home to major pottery workshops of the country.

Around 70% of the soil in this area is clay, which goes to the 30 pottery workshops of the city.

This art and industry has roots in the region’s history as the first workshops were established in the Safavid dynasty area of time.
